The LECHUZA moisture meter – it's that easy!
With the moisture meter from LECHUZA, you can always keep an eye on your plant's water requirements, even if you want to cultivate your plant without using the LECHUZA irrigation system. You don't even need to get your fingers dirty.
How to measure correctly:
Please note that the moisture meter only shows a correct value in connection with the plant and/or potting soil around the root ball of the plant. The moisture meter cannot be used if LECHUZA Pon or other substrates are used exclusively.
Shortly after sticking the indicator stick into the soil around the root ball, you will be able to see if your plant is getting enough moisture. Read the value on the dipstick while it is still in place, and then pull the indicator out of the soil. This is a one-off reading – there are no benefits to leaving the dipstick in the soil for an extended period.
The scale indicates:
- Red = the soil is too dry, it needs to be watered
- Green = the soil is sufficiently moist, your plant is well cared for
- Blue = the soil is wet, the plant needs a watering break
With regular measurements, you can easily prevent your plants from being under- or over-watered. The moisture meter is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. With a total length of around 26 cm, you can even use it to measure the moisture content of large potted plants. In addition, no batteries are required for the application.
Important:
After each measurement, pull the indicator straight out of the ground and clean it with a dry cloth. In the event of permanent contact with water or a wet substrate, the measuring tip can rust and thus prevent an accurate measurement.
In combination with LECHUZA planters, the moisture meter helps to precisely determine the drying phase of your plant. This is particularly practical if, for example, you are using a large planter, the plant has not yet fully established itself or you cannot see the moisture from the surface of the substrate. But even without an irrigation system, you can easily control the moisture supply of your plants. Your plants are always supplied with water exactly as they need it.
The advantages at a glance:
• Prevents under or over watering
• easy reading of soil moisture
• easy handling
• no batteries needed
